“It was a real joy to work with Kat and Jess. Their approach to learning more about us was particularly thoughtful and creative from the start, and the process remained collaborative and flexible throughout. They incorporated many of our own existing belongings while guiding us on ways to connect certain dots aesthetically and approach the challenges of various architectural quirks that we could not have navigated on our own. We have been left with a design reflects our sensibilities plus the natural character of our house, and it’s such a pleasure to spend time in this space as a result.”

To bring life and meaning into underused rooms in a new young family home. A large converted basement should be feel both intimate for the family to use and welcoming to large social gatherings - a connection to the garden is key. A relaxed, warm atmosphere should be felt throughout spaces in the house, and provide a backdrop to the family's growing art collection.
